Well done HSC another example of a hill worth walking close to home. It shows you dont always have to travel for miles to get a view.
Often wondered about this hill, in fact I was going to walk past it today had the game been on, sadly the snow has put a stop to that
I see you managed to avoid getting their ground in any of the pictures-well done as it would be a shame to spoil any of the views
The hills in the distance are the Strathconon Corbetts, not Ben Wyvis as you queried
Good report-well done. |

Don't think I could even see it myself from any of the angles offered from this hill...although I could often hear announcements being made from the ground that day, was there a game on or something on 29th?
This is a good wee hill, well worth detouring to if anyone finds themselves going past. I suddenly had a few hours to kill so went for it. |

When i saw the title of your report, i was hoping in particular for 1 thing!
You provided it in your 'looking west' photo. Love it.
Always look forward to this view crossing the Kessock Bridge, it just never lasts long enough! I spent a few holidays in North Kessock when i was younger and loved looking out the window in the evening to that view - even if i wrongly thought it was Carn Eighe at the time. _________________

| What are the hills in the looking west shot? Especially the ones on the right? Is that Ben Wyvis? Lol...I have a bad track record of guessing Wyvis! |

The hill on the right is the corbett, Beinn a'Bha'ach Ard which is above the entrance to Strathfarrar
Moving to the left after the low drop is Sgurr na Lapaich.
Not so sure after that but i think the lower hill roughly centre of photo maybe corbett Sgorr na Diollaid.
The bigger hill next on the left is probably one of the Glen Affric munros. _________________

| Very nostalgic as I used to cross that Bridge a lot when I lived in Rossshire. There are some great walks on the Black Isle all having the advantage of great views to bigger hills, Ord Hill looks to be in a better positionfor views than most of them. Thanks for the report, |

Thanks for the report HighlandSC and you really captured the views well in your pictures.
I've been up Ord Hill in the winter with Mrs C and it was great, although it needs a few trees cut down at the summit to give you a view! _________________ Being on the hills gives you a sense of where you are, where you've been, where you're going and why! |
